Operating out of New York City at Snapshot Sound Productions, Chey de Los works across electronic, hip-hop, pop, and post-production, with a production philosophy rooted in precision and impact. Every element in a Snapshot Sound record earns its place. Nothing decorates. Everything hits.

The method behind the sound is deliberate and uncommon. Whether producing an original or mixing someone else's record, Chey approaches every session by constructing the foundation, then remixing it. With the artist's approval, that remix becomes the primary version. Not just blemish removal. A fresh coat of paint on a track that now has a reason to exist in the room. The result is electronic dance music with an internal logic most producers never build in from the beginning.

The production credits run deep: Skee-Lo and Doc Ice (of Whodini and U.T.F.O.) on the Grammy-nominated Overdose EP in 2009 established Chey de Los as a credible voice in hip-hop production from the jump. Since then, the roster has grown to include David Ruffin Jr., Joeski Love, Paul "Sequence" Ferguson, Charles Glen, Darell DeBarge, Brenda K. Starr, The Klubjumpers, and others.

On the chart side: the Snapshot Sound Euro Dance Remix of Set Up by Griot B reached #36 on Billboard, and Bang by Doc Ice landed in the Mediabase Top 100. Across three separate chart appearances, the Billboard Top 40 has been the benchmark, not the ceiling.

As a solo artist, the 2024 albums Palpitations and Orbital Drift show a different side of Chey de Los. Released through Indie Chameleon as explicit lo-fi projects, they bring his signature production discipline to a quieter space, utilizing the same internal logic for a different room.
